Software, sport & somewhere new.

I'm a Norwegian software engineer living in Brazil. I build useful things, love meeting people, and am usually up for a game.

Change the game

Things I've built

Small tools for my own week: learning a language, getting onto a court, making a Mac feel like home.

Fala Gringo

Textbooks teach European Portuguese. I wanted to drill the spoken Brazilian kind, every day, without an account.

A free, offline-first site: you see English, you type the Portuguese. Verbs across five tenses, nouns with their gender, everyday expressions, full sentences, and seven daily cards you can share. No login, no tracking. It later grew sister sites for Brazilians learning English and Norwegian.

Autotennis

Drop-in tennis and padel sessions at the university club had to be booked by hand, and I wanted to be on court more often.

A small Python service that books the sessions for me. Built entirely without LLMs; it did exactly what I needed it to do.

Also on the desk

By day I'm a software engineer at Solution Seeker. M.Sc. in Cybernetics and Robotics from NTNU, with a lot of time spent on real-time systems and machine learning.

Away from the keyboard

Right now that means football, futevôlei and tennis, in whatever order the people around me are up for.

I grew up in Norway and live in Brazil, and I like that the two places ask different things of you. Travel is the same instinct: a new place is better learned slowly, with the people who live there.

A court to try, a new city, or a reason to get everyone together. I'm interested.

An original print of a patterned ball resting in snow beneath a pale winter sun.
A change of scenery.

Fancy a game?

Or a coffee, a code review, or a long argument about window managers. I'm easy to find.

A little mail from everywhere

Leave a postcard.

A hello, a favourite place, or an invitation to play. I’d love to hear from you.
